First Meeting of 2014

First of all I want to shout, " WELCOME BACK" to Celeste Benefield  We missed you!
Well our first meeting for 2014 was a great meeting, we usually don't have our first meeting in February but last month we had a snow day on our meeting day so no meeting. I was glad because I was out of town and hated to miss a meeting.

Sue won the door prize. And it was of course fabric.

The person hiding behind this quilt is a master quilter. She does not like her picture taken but we know who you are.

Don't have much to write........  Chuck and I went to a very nice little quilt shop in Trenton Kentucky.  It's only about 7 miles from  Clarksville off exit 1 from route 24.  Wonderful batiks, many patterns and samples made up......Kathy.

Love this quilt.

So beautiful.

Like, love, this quilt.

Pat made her t shirt. She did a great job.

Denise does marvelous applique. Isn't this beautiful ?

More applique from Pauline. This is going to be a beautiful quilt also.

Oh don't you just love love this messenger bag Kimmy made from a pair of bib overalls.

The guild made this quilt the year I joined and I won it. I just thought I would bring it so it can visit with the guild again.

This is a fabric bouquet that we give to members that have been sick or in hospital.

Judith And Glenn at The Quilt Show in Arizona

From Judith Putnam:
I had a good excuse for missing the February Guild meeting.  I was in Phoenix, Arizona at the AQS Quilt Show.   My husband and I visited Pat Palmer at her “winter home”.  She and Gayle Saville, who also winters there, and Glenn and I all went to the show together and enjoyed all the quilts, vendors and even took a class.  My quilt “Gee’s Ocean” hung at the show.  We did lots of sightseeing and Pat took us to sixteen quilt shops, eight in one day.   We had a great time and hope to visit again.  Check out these photos:
